DINGHY SAILING
A chance to catch the sailing bug!
Nairn Sailing Club offers sailing opportunities for young and old, experienced or not. We have a fantastic sailing environment on our doorstep and we want to encourage more people to get out there and enjoy it.

NSC Dinghy Section was re-launched in 2009 and has proven to be highly popular. The club meets on Sundays and most Wednesday evenings throughout the season for fun and friendly family sessions. Nairn beach provides a interesting and varied environment for our dinghy sailing, and we have the option of launching from the harbour when the surf makes beach launches tricky. We have all the facilities of our clubhouse (showers/toilet, kitchen and a briefing room with WiFi) as well as storage for dinghies in the club yard. We have a thriving Junior Dinghy group, with sailors as young as 6 learning to sail our Optimist training dinghies. NSC can offer dinghies, equipment, rescue cover and training opportunities for children and adults. We hold regattas and training events, although the emphasis is primarily on having fun and experiencing sailing on the Moray Firth. There are, however, opportunities to progress in sailing and some of our juniors have progressed onto Regional Squads and are achieving success at National level.
There are all kinds of ways to get involved, all levels, all ages, on and off the water! Please contact the club for more information.

Sessions will be held most weekends, normally on a Sunday. See Events for specific session information and meeting arrangements. Meet at the clubhouse unless advised otherwise.
